Having set my date of exam on July 10, 2010 I have exactly two months to do my best towards earning >95% score to guarantee the above average acceptance score in top 10 national universities.
According to Princeton Review 2008 the scores for the universities that I am going to target are the following:
Name | Average Score | Score Range |
Harvard | 713 | N/A |
MIT | 710 | 665-760 |
Northeastern University | 704 | N/A |
Stanford | 721 | 700-750 |
University of Michigan | 700 | 640-760 |
Let's first understand what is the objective and what it does really mean 95%??
From the official MBA website those score charts are
![]() | ![]() |
Based on this chart my target goal is 740, where my current test score is 640.
This is one test from Manhattan GMAT I did couple weeks ago before scheduling my exam or starting to study. Some details from that test for my future reference..
TYPE | SCORE | ESTIMATED PERCENTILE RANK |
Quantitative | 43 | 70 % |
Verbal | 34 | 72 % |
Total | 640 | 80 % |
This means we need 15% or 100 point score improvement. Next will discuss the attack plan! Wish me luck.
Well bon voyage, as some will say!
